This practical half-day course will help all frontline staff confidently deliver a best practice service to customers with a disability.

Reception and frontline staff are often worried about meeting and helping people with disabilities. They are afraid of doing or saying the wrong thing, and can often choose to do nothing at all.

This course is designed to provide clear guidance and practical advice on meeting the needs of disabled people whether they are customers or colleagues.

Following the training, staff will be more self-assured and feel confident in their day-to-day dealings with disabled people.

The course tutor is Ann Johnson a highly experienced trainer and consultant. Ann believes that understanding the needs of customers with disabilities does not come from lectures or knowledge of the law, it requires an appreciation of how the law is practically applied, how people best engage with each other and an awareness of the challenges faced by customers and how they might be overcome. Ann is a very independent wheelchair user following an injury to her spinal cord in 2002.
