FORGE Stamps its Mark on Wellington

11th May marked the official opening of FORGE in Wellington. A social enterprise supporting new entrepreneurs from the Junction Box along with showcasing local artists, crafter and food producers – see our short film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T792BwE3c38&feature=youtu.be

FORGE is part of Wave-length CIC and directly supports its Junction Box programme. The Junction Box provides workshops to those facing social challenges in life to understand whether ‘creating your own job’ might be a suitable and valued option for them.   FORGE offers support to members of the Junction Box in many ways:

  • By encouraging members which include veterans, ‘would be’ entrepreneurs and those facing social challenges in the Telford area (inc. carers, people with disabilities and those affected by their past lifestyles) to develop ideas, hobbies and skills by providing a high street shop for them to sell or test the market in FORGE.
  • Providing works experience at FORGE to people wanting to develop confidence and employment skills
  • Delivering craft and business workshops to those in the community who want to develop, widen interests and/or meet like-minded people
  • Using FORGE’s profits to invest back into the Junction Box so that we can offer more in education, encouragement and support to those keen to understand more about or venture into self-employment.

So when you buy from FORGE you are investing in the future of those living in the Telford

FORGE is supported by Telford and Wrekin Pride in Your High Street funding
