Ann Johnson of Wave-length was one of the presenters today at the Fresh Perspectives Conference today in Ironbridge


The conference was held at the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge in Shropshire allowing a networking opportunity with museum colleagues, a chance to hear speakers with a wealth of experience and the opportunity to participate in forward thinking workshops.

Wave-length have been carrying out Museum Audits for access as part of the West Midland Museum Development programme and shared some of her findings and personal experiences on improving access for people with a range of disabilities.

Ann gave practical tips and guidance to understanding how inclusive a museum is to those with a range of access needs including, physical, sensory and cognitive.

‘It was a great conference to speak at and most importantly attend, I learnt so much about the challenges, opportunities and enthusiasm of West Midland Museums’ said Ann
