James Sale: Living the Dream

James Sale: Living the Dream

“What I would say to anyone who has a disability is to never let it get in the way of your life and dreams”

My name is James Sale and I was born with Cerebral Palsy which prevents me from walking and therefore I have to use a wheelchair to get around places. Despite having this disability I have accomplished a lot of things which I am very pleased with.

I have achieved excellent results at Shrewsbury College and I have studied a range of subjects from ICT, Interactive Media, Law and Business Studies. I have really enjoyed these subjects and they have given me much more confidence in specific skills which I hope will help me find suitable employment in the future.

At college I started from a level 1 course and throughout my 6 years I have progressed on to a Business HND course which will take me 3 years to get the degree.

My disability has allowed me to take part in sports such as disabled basketball and disabled tennis,. I am a fan of the Paralympics sports and I am really looking forward to our Olympics. I always make an effort to watch them when they are on television because watching the people who do them gives me confidence.

What I would say to anyone who has a disability is to never let it get in the way of your life and dreams.
