Junction Box launches in Shrewsbury

Junction Box launches in Shrewsbury

Creating your own job is on the up and up it is now at 15% of those in work – that’s quite amazing – Even more amazing is it is higher than this is Shropshire (at about 17%). So are you assisting those you support consider this option?

The growing groups creating their own job being the over 45’s and with the over 65’s doubling in the last 5 years, it is even said by many researchers that for those with disabilities it is the ideal option to suit personal lifestyles and through our programmes in Telford we know this to be true.

But what if you wanted to know more about self-employment but did not know when and how to start, you don’t even have an idea to develop then this is the workshop for you.   This pilot for Shropshire will be bringing together likeminded people from across Shropshire  to explore alongside each other the possible options and challenges in creating your own job and then deciding whether it is an option worth pursuing for themselves.

This programme will help you understand if your skills, hobbies and interests might lend themselves to creating your own job.

It is free to attend so why not give up sometime with us – it could mean that 2016 changes your life.

Programme starts at the Gateway Education Centre, Ellesmere Road Shrewsbury at 10.00am Thursday February 18th the first session will be for a day with lunch provided.

Thank you to the support of the Gateway, Skills Funding Agency; European Social Fund and County Training for helping the launch of the Junction Box in Shropshire
