So what IS stopping you?

So what IS stopping you?

“I came supporting a client who was very anxious about attending but left feeling inspired”

Wave-length held its first “What’s Stopping You?” event on 23rd of April 2013 at the Glass Classroom in Coalbrookdale.

The event was a fantastic success and received a strong attendance of 123 visitors signing in during the day and 22 companies exhibiting.

The event ran parallel to a series of workshops that aimed to inform delegates about the finer details of setting up in business which were all very well attended throughout the day.  The event featured a mixture of exhibitions from local companies, and the workshops were presented by Julie Carthy – UnLtd, Kairen Francis & Kelly Hurd – Job Centre Plus, Carol Ewels and John Rainford – Strawberry Fields.

Over 100 people were in attendance at the event where local market traders we invited to trade amongst bigger companies. One attendee said “the event was fabulous and had such a fantastic atmosphere”.

Wave-length’s director Ann Johnson said “I’d like to thank the exhibitors, the attendees, the Project Wave-length team and the sponsors. Without them this event would not have been possible.”

One person said about the event “Very useful – especially being able to speak to individuals who have set up their own business I came supporting a client who was very anxious about attending but left feeling inspired”  – An exhibitor said about the event  “fab event!, so well organised, and a lovely mix of attendees”

Wave-length will be looking at running this event yearly. Announcements to come.
