The Employment and Support Allowance Information Document

Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) helps people with an illness or disability to move into work. It has replaced Incapacity Benefit and Income Support paid because of an illness or disability. This leaflet explains more about: •what ESA is •who can get ESA •what happens when you make a claim

Follow the link to the Job Centre’s support document, it seems easy to read and understand and if its not then this is an opportunity to let us know and we will feed it back to the Job Centre team.  https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/259725/dwp015.pdf

Let Wave-length know whether such support helps to support you into work or if there might be other activity the job centre can do.

Currently we are in talks with the Job Centre to offer an alternative to employment to those who face social challenges in life  ‘self employment’ if you want to be kept up to date on our activities and workshops in this area then ask to be added to our Junction Box circulation list by emailing info@wave-length.org.uk or ringing 01952 670404 or simply follow the link on our ‘Join Us’ page.
