The Equality Act 2010 – Four years on

In October 2014 we will be as a nation planning to move into 2015 a year when the UK government will be spotlighted as by world leaders on their progress to provide opportunity for those with a disability, the recommendations for change for the Equality Duty will have made some progress and as always an anniversary of a piece of legislation provides time to reflect

A man balancing actionsThis event is free to attend and will be held on October 30th 2014, past such anniversary events run by Wave-length have been extremely well attended and have attracted attendees from across the West Midlands and beyond.

The event will look at changes and challenges related to the act in 2014, changes to come and will have a focus on an existing element of the act that people might still wish to discuss further its practical application.   The event will run from 10.00am-12.30 venue to be confirmed nearer the time but will be somewhere chosen for its ease of location and is likely to be in Telford or Shrewsbury.

In 2014 it is likely that we will discuss whether the Equality Act is really doing anything to increase the diversity balance on management teams, executive boards and governing bodies and what needs to change if anything? an opportunity to share good practice.
